Who are we?
Let me introduce you to our family.
We are Amélie Gauthier and Sébastien Nuckle, a Quebec couple originally from the Lanaudière region, now living in Mexico with our two daughters. Before this major life change, we were well established in Quebec: Amélie was a teacher, Sébastien, a fire protection mechanic. But deep down, a dream persisted: to live differently, in a freer, sunnier environment... more aligned with our family values.
It was in August 2021 that we decided to make this dream a reality. We went to Playa del Carmen for a six-month trial stay. It quickly became clear that this life under the palm trees, simpler and connected to the essentials, was what we were looking for. We sold our house and our belongings, and chose to settle permanently in Mexico.
This change of direction not only transformed our daily lives, but also our professional trajectory. Drawing on our experiences and motivated by the desire to help other expats, travelers, and investors, we founded SALEA—a property management, furniture, relocation support, and car rental company.
At SALEA, every service we offer is the result of our own experience. We understand the challenges of moving to a new country: the doubts, the procedures, the logistics... but also the magic of a fresh start. That's why we are committed to providing personalized, compassionate, efficient, and reassuring service.
We currently manage several properties in the Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Puerto Morelos area, and support both owners looking for profitability and families ready to experience their adventure in the sun.
